Motherhood includes joy, exhaustion, and everything in between—and many moms feel isolated in the midst of it.

This group offers a safe, welcoming space for honest connection and shared vulnerability, grounded in the understanding that none of us are alone in these struggles.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), participants will build a practical set of skills to manage emotions, reduce self-criticism, set healthy boundaries, and respond to stress with greater balance and compassion.

This group welcomes all who identify as moms—including those through birth, adoption, fostering, or chosen family—and affirms LGBTQ+ moms.

GROUP THERAPY FAQs

Will what I share in the group stay confidential?

Yes, what you share in a group stays confidential; members are asked to respect one another’s privacy, offer support rather than advice, and help create a space grounded in trust and care.

Do I need to attend all 8 sessions?

Yes—participants are asked to attend all 8 sessions to support connection and skill-building; if you are ill, you may join via telehealth when possible, and materials will be shared by email.

Do I need to be in individual therapy, too?

Not necessarily. Some participants attend this group alone; others combine it with individual therapy, or medication management for extra support. This group does not provide crisis care and is not a replacement for individual therapy.
